Tanka #2

Rust and fallen snow
rest upon cracks and fissures
revealed by soft light,
confirmation of failure
weathered by time’s measured grace.

I love the colour of rust and the cold and whiteness of snow combined resting on cracks, taking a pause on life to just view the day. Very calm and mindful write. πŸ™‚ Maire

Something that is commonplace like rust and cracks is made profound! Very beautiful way with words : )

Thank you! I was trying to pay closer attention to the form, with the turning line in the middle…A bit of a challenge, but I really like the form. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. Be well~
